The much-anticipated film Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in a lead role, is set for its theatrical release on December 1, having secured an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Ahead of its release, several alterations were made to adhere to certification standards, offering a glimpse into the changes made.
CBFC-Mandated Changes:
- Vocabulary Modifications:
- “Black” was altered (new version unspecified).
- “Costume” changed to “Vastra.”
- Minor alterations in dialogues: “Kabhi nahi,” “Kya bol rahe ho aap.”
- Subtitle Alterations:
- Muted “Natak,” was replaced with a different dialogue.
- Subtitles replaced: “You change pads four times a month.”
- Cuss words are modified wherever present.
- Deleted Intimate Scene:
- Close-up shots from an intimate sequence between Vijay and Zoya were removed.
CBFC Rating and Runtime Details:
- CBFC Rating: ‘A’ certificate for the film.

UK Rating and Description:
- The UK rating for Animal is 18+ due to elements of strong bloody violence, sexual violence, sexual threat, language, and injury details.
