Amitabh Bachchan, the iconic Bollywood actor, is taking a cautious and measured approach to his professional commitments following injuries sustained on the set of Prabhas’s highly anticipated project, ‘Project K’. While he has resumed work after recovering from rib and toe injuries, he is proceeding with his shooting schedule at a slower pace.
The megastar’s injuries occurred during the shooting of Nag Ashwin’s futuristic drama, ‘Project K’. Although Bachchan has shown patience and resilience during his recovery, the shooting of the film has been indefinitely postponed to allow for his complete healing.
According to a source close to the project in Hyderabad, the director and producers of ‘Project K,’ Nag Ashwin and Vyjayanthi Movies, are not pressuring Bachchan to resume shooting. They are willing to wait for as long as it takes for him to recover. However, it is now unlikely that the film will meet its initial release date of January 2024.
In a blog post, Amitabh Bachchan shared details about the accident on the sets of ‘Project K’. He described the incident, stating, “During an action shot in Hyderabad for Project K, I got injured, with a popped rib cartilage, a broken rib, and a muscle tear to the right rib cage. We cancelled the shoot, consulted doctors, and I underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad before flying back home.”
‘Project K’ was originally scheduled for an early 2024 theatrical release. It has been reported that Bachchan’s co-stars in the film, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, have adjusted their schedules to accommodate his recovery.
Amitabh Bachchan’s cautious approach and the delay in filming highlight the importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of actors in the industry. Fans eagerly await his return to full health and the eventual release of ‘Project K,’ which promises to be an exciting and highly anticipated project.
