Alliance University Celebrates Women’s Achievements with Mahila Spandana Awards 2025

BENGALURU | MARCH 09, : Ahead of International Women’s Day, Alliance University celebrated the achievements of 22 extraordinary women from diverse professions by honouring them with the Mahila Spandana Awards 2025. The prestigious awards, presented at the university’s Anekal campus, recognised women who have made significant contributions in fields such as education, healthcare, social work, entrepreneurship, science, and the arts.
The event, themed ‘Accelerate Action,’ underscored the importance of gender equality and the need for collective efforts to advance women’s empowerment. The awards ceremony was part of a larger initiative featuring Mahila Sabalikarana and Kaushalya Spandana, two social impact programs aimed at equipping women with education and vocational skills to enhance their socio-economic status.
A series of workshops, exhibitions, and interactive sessions were held, fostering dialogue on women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and skill development. The event concluded with the distribution of 20 sewing machines, a step towards supporting rural women in achieving financial independence through self-employment.
Speaking at the event, university officials emphasized the institution’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and progressive society where women are empowered to excel in their chosen fields.
