Anticipation is building as Aishwarya Rajinikanth gears up for the Pongal release of her directorial venture, “Lal Salaam,” starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. Scheduled to hit theatres during the festive season, the sports drama is expected to captivate audiences with its unique storyline. Adding to the excitement, the film boasts a special appearance by none other than Superstar Rajinikanth.

Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions, “Lal Salaam” has the musical genius AR Rahman composing its soundtrack. The film also features a cameo role by legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, further elevating its star-studded ensemble.

Superstar Rajinikanth, in a special Diwali wishes video, not only conveyed prosperity for the festival but also shared the exciting news of his appearance in “Lal Salaam” as Moideen Bhai. This announcement has sent fans into a frenzy, eager to witness the magic of Rajinikanth in a unique role in the upcoming sports drama.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s return to the director’s chair with “Lal Salaam” marks a significant moment in her career, following her previous works such as “3” (2012) and “Vai Raja Vai” (2015). The film holds particular significance as it represents her first project after her separation from her husband Dhanush in 2022.

What adds an intriguing dimension to the Pongal 2024 release is the clash between “Lal Salaam” and Dhanush starrer “Captain Miller.” The clash sets the stage for a cinematic showdown, with both films vying for audience attention during the festive season.

Meanwhile, Superstar Rajinikanth remains a force to be reckoned with in the film industry. His recent outing in the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial “Jailer” garnered immense success, featuring an ensemble cast and notable cameo appearances.

Looking ahead, Rajinikanth is currently immersed in the shooting of his next project with TJ Gnanavel, tentatively titled “Thalaivar 170.” The film promises a socially relevant plot, featuring a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rithika Singh, and Dussara Vijayan.

As if that wasn’t enough, Rajinikanth is set to make waves in the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial “Thalaivar 171,” with rumours swirling about casting choices that include Raghava Lawrence, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Mammootty. The superstar’s diverse lineup continues to generate excitement among fans, promising a cinematic treat in the coming months.
