Rashmika Mandanna has been making waves with her recent projects. Following the success of “Pushpa: The Rise” and “Sita Ramam,” she soared to greater heights with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor. Despite mixed reviews, the film performed well at the box office. In a candid conversation with Lifestyle Asia, Rashmika sheds light on why she values her success deeply.
“I’ve learnt not to take it lightly,” Rashmika emphasises. She expresses her belief in cherishing joy and success, acknowledging that there are individuals with more talent and beauty. “I know that there are a lot of girls out there who are prettier and way more skilled and talented than I am,” she admits. However, Rashmika remains grateful for her opportunities, vowing not to trivialise joy or achievement.
Discussing the scrutiny that comes with fame, Rashmika considers it a “normal” part of her journey. She emphasizes the importance of having a thick skin in the entertainment industry. “If you speak, the world listens and passes judgments and criticisms and has many opinions,” she states. This resilience, she believes, is crucial for preserving one’s mental and emotional well-being.
Rashmika’s plate is full of upcoming projects in both Telugu and Hindi cinema. She is set to reprise her role as Srivalli in Sukumar’s “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” alongside Allu Arjun, scheduled for release on August 15. Additionally, she’s involved in a Telugu-Tamil bilingual film titled “Rainbow” and “The Girlfriend,” directed by Rahul Ravindran. She’s currently filming “Chaava,” featuring Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna, and Pradeep Rawat in the Hindi film industry.
