As Kangana Ranaut gears up for the release of her upcoming Tamil film, Chandramukhi 2, she took a moment to reflect on her past collaborations and future aspirations. During a recent promotional event in Hyderabad, the actress was asked about the possibility of reuniting with Telugu superstar Prabhas, with whom she shared screen space in the 2009 film Ek Niranjan.
Kangana spoke warmly about her experience working with Prabhas, saying, “Of course, I would [work with him again]. I am so happy for his success. You know how he has been so incredibly successful as a pan-Indian star.” She reminisced about their time on the sets of Ek Niranjan, recalling how Prabhas was a gracious host and how they used to tease each other. “We were both very young when we did that film. I remember he was such a great host and treated us to such great food at his farmhouse,” she added.
It’s been over a decade since Kangana and Prabhas worked together. While Ek Niranjan received mixed reviews, it was a commercial success and marked Kangana’s first and only Telugu project to date. Both actors have seen their careers skyrocket since then, with Prabhas gaining international fame for his role in the Baahubali series and Kangana earning critical acclaim for her performances in films like Queen and Manikarnika.
Kangana is currently busy with Chandramukhi 2, where she plays the titular role opposite Raghava Lawrence. The film, directed by P Vasu, is set to release on September 28 and is a sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2005 hit, Chandramukhi. Meanwhile, Prabhas has been making headlines for his various pan-Indian projects, solidifying his status as a national icon.
With both actors enjoying immense success and a pan-Indian following, a collaboration between Kangana and Prabhas would undoubtedly be a blockbuster event. Fans are already excited about the prospect, and Kangana’s recent comments have only added fuel to the fire.
