My introduction to Director Varma happened because of my enthusiasm for the craft. From then on, I embarked on this path.”
Recalling some of his remarkable films, JD candidly shared the significant influence of the film “Gulabi” on his career. He said, “In the movies I did, ‘Egire Pavurama,’ ‘Bombay Priyudu,’ and ‘Prema Kuvaa’ also, I showed the same enthusiasm. But the reason behind my recognition was ‘Gulabi.'”
“Gulabi,” directed by Krishna Vamsi, was a turning point in JD Chakravarthi’s career, garnering him widespread acclaim for his impactful performance.
