Mumbai – Janhvi Kapoor, gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Ulajh, recently sat down for an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, shedding light on her much-anticipated project Devara. The actress shared her excitement about working alongside Jr NTR and director Koratala Siva.
Kapoor, who is set to make her Telugu debut with Devara, expressed her admiration for the creative process in the Telugu film industry. She said, “I love how they work over there. They treat a movie like a piece of art, giving it the respect and grandeur it deserves. Their storytelling has so much conviction.”
Speaking specifically about Jr NTR, she was full of praise: “When Jr NTR sir walks into a frame, it instantly comes alive. His energy is so infectious. I recently shot a song with him, and the speed at which he picks up dance steps is astonishing. While I’m here learning the steps over several days, he masters them in seconds. He brings such vitality to his takes; it’s incredible to watch.”
On working with the film’s director, Koratala Siva, Janhvi was equally enthusiastic: “Siva sir is like the captain of a grand ship. Despite the high stakes and the large-scale set with numerous extras, he remains calm and composed. He’s such a pleasure to work with and makes you feel secure as an actor.”
Janhvi also shared her hopes for her upcoming film Ulajh, expressing her desire for its success. Additionally, she’s channeling her energy into preparing for an upcoming song shoot with Jr NTR. Despite recovering from a recent health issue, she’s determined to give her best and make her mother and fans proud.

Devara is an action thriller featuring Jr NTR in the lead role, directed by Koratala Siva. The film, which is set to release in two parts, showcases Jr NTR in a powerful new avatar. The first single from the film, titled “Fear Song,” has already given fans a glimpse of its intense action.
The movie marks Janhvi Kapoor’s debut in Telugu cinema and also stars Saif Ali Khan, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, and Kalaiyarasan, among others. Originally scheduled for an April 5, 2024 release, Devara will now hit theaters on September 27, 2024. It will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
