Actor Vijay Sethupathi is all set to star in an upcoming film directed by Puri Jagannadh. The official announcement was made on Ugadi Sunday by the production company Puri Connects, co-founded by Jagannadh and producer Charmme Kaur.

To mark the occasion, the makers shared a photo featuring Vijay Sethupathi with Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur, showcasing their excitement for the project. The regular shoot for the film is scheduled to begin in June, and it will be released across multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Though the film was initially reported to be titled Beggar, sources suggest the makers are exploring other title options as the name has already been used in a few languages. This collaboration marks the first time Sethupathi, renowned for his diverse roles in Indian cinema, teams up with Jagannadh, celebrated for iconic films like Pokiri and Idiot. Vijay Sethupathi had previously made his Telugu debut in Buchi Babu Sana’s Uppena.

Additional details about the cast and crew are expected to be revealed in the coming months. Puri Jagannadh’s recent film Double iSmart received a lukewarm reception, and fans are hopeful that this new collaboration with Sethupathi will help revive his cult following.
