The first look of Ram Pothineni as Sagar from his upcoming film, RAPO22 (working title), has been unveiled, offering a glimpse of a fresh and exciting new chapter in the actor’s career. The shooting for the film officially kicked off in Hyderabad on Friday.

A Bold New Genre for Ram Pothineni

Known for his action-packed roles, Ram Pothineni is stepping into uncharted territory with RAPO22, embracing a completely different genre. The film’s makers recently released a new poster featuring Ram in the role of Sagar. While Sagar is the character’s name, the filmmakers clarified that it is not the official title of the film.

Ram’s Youthful Transformation

The poster showcases Ram in a vibrant, youthful new look. Sporting long hair, a clean-shaven face, and exuding a youthful charm, he appears strikingly younger and more relatable than ever before. His retro-inspired outfit, paired with a classic bicycle, creates a nostalgic atmosphere, drawing viewers into a vintage setting. The character Sagar is introduced as a “Suparichithudu” (someone well-known), suggesting a deeply familiar and emotional persona tied to the past.

Bhagyashri Borse as the Leading Lady

Directed by Mahesh Babu P, RAPO22 promises to be a unique and refreshing film in Ram’s career. Bhagyashri Borse stars as the female lead. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. It also features an impressive technical team, with Vivek-Mervin composing the music, Madhu Neelakandan handling cinematography, Sreekar Prasad as the editor, and Avinash Kolla leading production design.
