The eagerly awaited sequel “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is facing a delay from its initial planned release date of August 15, 2024. Industry insiders attribute the setback to various production challenges. These include the necessity for reshoots, scheduling conflicts involving Fahadh Faasil, sluggish progress in filming, concerns over VFX quality, and a recent change in the editing team, all of which have significantly disrupted the film’s production timeline.
Despite these obstacles, neither director Sukumar nor the cast has officially confirmed a revised release date, leaving fans and media outlets to speculate. According to a recent report from Mirchi 9, there is speculation that the film might now aim for a December release. The predecessor, “Pushpa 1: The Rise”, also premiered in December 2021. However, an official announcement regarding the new release date is still pending. Two songs from “Pushpa 2” have already been unveiled, although concerns linger about maintaining their appeal and freshness until the film finally hits theatres.
