Thalapathy Vijay’s bilingual film Varisu has landed in trouble for using elephants for shooting without permission from officials. According to reports, the Animal Welfare Association has issued a notice to the makers of the film for using five elephants without their permission during the shoot.

The forest officials have asked the team of Varisu to submit an explanation regarding the issue in the next seven days or will take proper action against it. According to rules, every person has to register with the Board if animals are exhibited. However, the makers of Varisu are yet to make a statement regarding the issue.

A few days ago, the makers took to social media and shared a bunch of stills from Varisu, which have gone viral on social media. Vijay looks young and stylish in the film. However, the actor’s role in the film has not been disclosed.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu will see Rashmika Mandanna opposite Vijay with Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Khushbu, Sangeetha, Yogi Babu and Samyuktha in supporting roles. Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu is gearing up for Pongal 2023 release.

Thalapathy Vijay will shoot the action-packed emotional climax of Varisu in Hyderabad soon. A source close to the development revealed, “Right after calling it a wrap on the song shoot, Vijay and the entire team will be off to Hyderabad to shoot the action-packed climax of the film. It’s a 10-day shoot, and the entire climax block is said to be high on action and emotion. The entire cast, including, Rashmika, will be present in the climax shoot of the film. The film will be wrapped up by December 5.”

Varisu in Tamil and Varusudu in Telugu is expected to release in theaters for Pongal 2023. While the festive release has always worked for Vijay, looks like it will get affected this time in Telugu states because of the Producers Council’s new decision. The Telugu Producers Council announced that only ‘Telugu straight films’ should be given preference by theatres and this is expected to affect the release.
