Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, is ready to step into the world of Indian cinema, but not as an actor like his father. At 24, Jason is all set to make his mark as a director, with his debut film featuring Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. Fans are already buzzing with excitement after the producers of the project unveiled its first look. Lyca Productions took to their official X (formerly Twitter) account to release the motion poster, giving a glimpse of Jason’s directorial vision. While details like the movie title and full cast are yet to be revealed, the motion poster has already generated significant anticipation for the film.

The makers of Jason Sanjay’s much-awaited directorial debut have revealed that the film’s musical score will be composed by the talented S. Thaman. According to the producers, the project is set to begin production soon.

Earlier reports suggest that Jason’s debut will be a sports drama, marking his entry into Tamil cinema, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, veteran filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar.

For those who may not know, Jason Sanjay holds a BA (Hons) degree in Screenwriting from London and has further honed his filmmaking skills with a course at the Toronto Film School. He has also directed several short films, which are available on YouTube.

As for Jason’s brief screen appearance, he was seen as a child artist in the 2009 film Vettaikaran, where he made a cameo in the song Naan Adicha. Now, with his directorial debut on the horizon, all eyes are on the young filmmaker as he takes the reins of his own cinematic journey.

In previous interviews, Thalapathy Vijay shared that renowned directors like Alphonse Puthren and Sudha Kongara had approached his son, Jason Sanjay, with acting offers. However, Vijay revealed that his son, unlike many star kids, showed more interest in the art of directing rather than pursuing an acting career.

Much like his father, Jason is known for maintaining a low-profile personal life. Although he does have social media accounts, he rarely shares personal photos or glimpses of his day-to-day life, keeping his private affairs under wraps.

For those unaware, it was in August 2023 when Lyca Productions officially announced that Jason Sanjay would make his directorial debut with an upcoming film under their banner. This announcement set the stage for Jason’s entry into the world of filmmaking, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
