Thalapathy 67: Film shooting continues at a brisk pace, confirms producer of Thalapathy Vijay starrer

Fans of Thalapathy Vijay will surely be rejoicing as there is an interesting update about the forthcoming film of the superstar with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Fondly referred to as Thalapathy 67, the film is expected to have gone on floors earlier this month and the shooting is expected to be completed soon. Producers 7 Screeen Studios took to social media to announce an update about the film which is expected to feature Trisha Krishnan in the lead role.

7 Screen Studios took to Twitter to share a note about the film going on floors in which they revealed that the shoot commenced on January 2, 2023 and is progressing at a brisk pace. Thalapathy 67 will mark the reunion of Thalapathy Vijay with Lokesh Kanagaraj, after their previous outings Master and Beast whereas the megastar has also collaborated with these studios for Master as well as his recent release Varisu aka Varasudu.  In the recent post, the studios expressed their happiness over joining hands with the superstar saying, “We are delighted and proud to collaborate with Thalapathy Vijay sir, for the third time.”

Talking about the film, it is produced by S S Lalit Kumar and Co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy. It was being rumoured that the film will be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. However in an earlier statement made by the filmmaker, he had asserted that while LCU is very much in the making, Thalapathy 67 will not be a part of it. Further elaborating on the film, he went on to add, “It’ll be a gangster film but I can only share more information about the project after the release of Varisu.”

While the music for Thalapathy 67 will be composed by renowned music director Anirudh Ravichander, the rest of the technical crew includes Manoj Paramahamsa as the DOP, Philomin Raj as the editor, N. Sathees Kumar as the Art director, among others. While the dialogues are written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar & Deeraj Vaidy, the action is choreographed by Anbariv. Further details regarding the cast and crew is expected to be announced soon. Reports have it that the leading lady opposite Vijay will be essayed by Trisha Krishnan but the makers are yet to give a confirmation on the same.
