Suriya Unveils Riveting Look from ‘Kanguva’ on Diwali

As the anticipation builds for the grand theatrical release of “Kanguva: A Mighty Valiant Saga” in the summer of 2024, actor Suriya treats fans to a glimpse of his captivating new look from the film, wishing everyone a joyous Diwali.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Suriya shared the new look with a festive greeting, saying, “Dear all wish you a Happy happy Deepavali #Kanguva.” In the poster, the actor, donning his Kanguva avatar, holds a torchlight with a stern expression. The background showcases characters from the film forming an arch-like shape, symbolizing Suriya’s character’s ascent to leadership.

This revelation comes after an earlier glimpse from the film featuring Suriya in a warrior look, exuding an eccentric smile and a commanding presence in his attire. “Kanguva” promises to showcase the actor in six distinct roles, and the inclusion of debutants Disha Patani and Bobby Deol adds to the film’s star-studded lineup.

The ensemble cast of “Kanguva” features Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, K. S. Ravikumar, and more in prominent roles. With Devi Sri Prasad handling the music, Vetri Palanisamy as the cinematographer, and Nishadh Yusuf as the editor, the film promises a visual and auditory treat.

Not only does “Kanguva” boast a stellar cast and creative team, but it also stands out as one of the most expensive films in India to date. The commitment to quality and grandeur is evident in every aspect of its production.

Suriya’s professional journey has been on an upward trajectory, with “Kanguva” being a significant focus throughout the year. Following his lead role in Pandiraj-directed “Etharkkum Thunindhavan” in 2022, Suriya made a memorable cameo appearance in Kamal Haasan’s “Vikram,” solidifying his place in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Looking ahead, the actor is set to reunite with Sudha Kongara in an upcoming film, co-starring Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Verma, and Nazriya Fahadh Faasil. Additionally, Suriya will play a crucial cameo in the Hindi remake of “Soorarai Pottru,” featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. As “Kanguva” gears up for a summer spectacle, Suriya’s diverse lineup continues to captivate audiences, promising a cinematic journey like never before.
