Superstar Krishna Garu passes away at 80

The legendary Superstar Krishna Garu passed away on Tuesday due to health complications.

The legendary Superstar Krishna Garu passed away on Tuesday due to health complications. He was a on of number of superhit blockbuster Telugu films. He was admitted to Continental Hospitals early on Monday morning due to cardiac arrest, the seasoned actor passed away there. Given that Mahesh Babu’s mother Indira Devi passed away a month ago, the Ghattamaneni family has suffered a great loss.

The late actor was reportedly undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and was on a ventilator. Several media reports said that Krishna, father of popular actor Mahesh Babu, was brought to Continental Hospital in Gachibowli around 2 AM in an unconscious state after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

In a health bulletin, shared by the official Twitter handle of the hospital, it was stated, “the cardiologists immediately performed CPR and in 20 minutes he was brought out of cardiac arrest.”

The veteran actor turned 80 in May this year. Since the passing of his wife Indira Devi in September, the superstar of yesteryear was reportedly depressed. He lost Ramesh Babu, his older son, in January.

Krishna appeared in more than 350 films during the course of a five-decade acting career. He received the Padma Bhushan award in 2009 in recognition of his contributions to Indian film.
