Struggling to secure offers in Kollywood, actress Sreeleela is now setting her sights on a successful comeback in Telugu cinema. According to a source, “Sreeleela is pinning her hopes on her upcoming film Kohinoor with Ravi Teja to make a strong return.”
Her last appearance was in Guntur Kaaram alongside Mahesh Babu, where their energetic dance performances were widely appreciated. Despite seeking substantial roles in Kollywood over the past year, Sreeleela found little success, even turning down a role in Sardar 2 as she was not satisfied with the part offered.
Previously, Sreeleela had been a prominent heroine in Tollywood, impressing audiences with her performance in Bhagavanth Kesari. Her portrayal in this film revealed a new, intense side to her acting abilities. “Sreeleela’s role in Bhagavanth Kesari was a breakthrough, showcasing her capability to handle powerful roles early in her career—something rare for young actresses,” the source notes.
Renowned as one of Tollywood’s leading dancing heroines alongside stars like Sai Pallavi and Keerthy Suresh, Sreeleela’s dance skills were highlighted in songs like “Jinthak Chithaka” and “Pulsar Bike” from Dhamaka, and “Ghandarbhai” from Skanda.
Now, with Kohinoor alongside her favorite hero Ravi Teja, Sreeleela hopes to reignite her career in Telugu cinema and bolster her fanbase. “If she delivers another blockbuster, she could see an increase in her salary from Rs 1.5 crore,” the source concludes.
