Waltair Veerayya has been making news ever since its inception. The film will be bringing South superstars Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja on the big screen. Their recently released song ‘Poonakalu Loading’ featuring them in a dance-off has only added to the anticipation. The excitement was visible even more when the two actors attended a grand pre-release event in Vizhag. However, missing from the promotional activity was the leading lady Shruti Haasan. While many wondered the reason behind her absence, the actress recently revealed that she had to give it a skip owing to health issues.
Just a day ago, Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja had a hearty interaction with their fans and even spoke about Waltair Veerayya. However, Shruti Haasan recently expressed her disappointment over missing out on this important event. She said, “I was so heartbroken that I was not attending the grand launch for Waltair Veeraya due to my ill health. I was super unwell and couldn’t make at the launch. It has been an absolute honour to work with Chiranjeevi Garu.” The actress also missed out on the grand trailer launch of her other film Veera Simha Reddy starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, which will also be releasing this week.
Talking about being a part of two big films that will be releasing simultaneously, Shruti Haasan also added, “We cannot be nervous about the film but we can do our best when we are on set and I think we all have really worked hard. These are two superstars with huge mass fan following and I’m excited to be a part of it. Yeah, I think it’s quite rare to have the same moment, same producer.”
Waltair Veerayya, directed by Bobby Kolli, will be releasing on January 12 in Telugu along with a dubbed version in Hindi. Talking about Veera Simha Reddy, the film will be releasing on January 13 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and is directed by Gopichand Malineni.
