Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Romantic Drama Gets Valentine’s Day Release

Bollywood fans are in for a treat as Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon gear up to grace the silver screen in an upcoming untitled romantic drama that has been generating substantial buzz. A few weeks ago, the film’s producers unveiled an intriguing poster featuring the lead actors and announced a release date of December 8, 2023. However, trade expert Taran Adarsh recently confirmed a change in the release plan, rescheduling it for the Valentine’s Day 2024 week. As a result, the film, which is still without an official title, is now set to enchant audiences on February 9, 2024, a move that has only heightened anticipation and curiosity among fans.

According to a report from Pinkvilla, the decision to shift the release date to February aligns perfectly with the film’s best interests. “It’s a decision taken in the best interest of the film. The makers are now looking to hit the big screen in February – which is the month of love. The release period of Valentine’s Day is also in sync with the core plot of the film, appealing to the youth,” a source told Pinkvilla.

Furthermore, the report revealed that the film places heavy emphasis on its music, which the makers plan to leverage in their promotional efforts. “The film has some peppy dance numbers and will feature Shahid and Kriti at their best showcasing their dancing skills. There is also a romantic number, which could catch up in a big way with the audience. The flavour of the story added with music will make it the perfect bet for Valentine’s Day release for the young cine-going audience,” it said.

In addition to the dynamic duo of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, the movie boasts the presence of veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in prominent roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar, this romantic film is skillfully directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Shah.

A few days ago, Maddock Films, one of the production companies involved, took to their Instagram account to share the film’s poster, revealing the updated release date. The poster teased the audience with the tagline, “An impossible love story,” while the caption read, “Mark your calendars for this impossible love story that unfolds on 7th December 2023! Brought to you by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, starring Shahid Kapoor & Kriti Sanon together for the first time!”

On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor recently featured in “Bloody Daddy,” which opted for an OTT release. Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon, known for her versatility, was last seen in “Adipurush” and is gearing up for her next project, “The Crew,” where she will share the screen with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu in leading roles.

As the release date inches closer, Bollywood enthusiasts can hardly contain their excitement for this tantalizing romantic drama that promises to capture hearts on Valentine’s Day 2024.
