Rashmika Mandanna, who gained immense popularity after the release of the Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rise, has recently revealed that she will no longer perform the famous “Saami Saami” dance step from the movie in public. During an interactive session with her fans on social media, the actress shared that she has performed the dance step far too many times and will not be doing it again.
When a fan expressed the desire to dance with her on the popular number, Rashmika replied, “I’ve done the Saami Saami step too many times now, that I feel like I’ll have issues with my back when I get older. Why do you do this to me? Let’s do something else when we meet.”
Rashmika also expressed her love for Malayalam cinema when a fan asked her if she enjoys watching it. She said, “Are you kidding? I love Malayalam cinema. Malayalam films are just so pure, and people are full of love.”
The actress also talked about her experience performing the traditional Lavani dance at a function and learning some new Marathi phrases. She added, “It was surreal… Learnt some new Marathi phrases as well.. soon I’ll manage to speak like little little.. Hopefully!”
Rashmika had predominantly worked in Telugu and Kannada movies before venturing into Tamil and Hindi cinema. She made her debut with the Kannada film Kirik Party in 2016, which was a blockbuster hit. In Bollywood, she has appeared in movies like Goodbye (alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta) and Mission Majnu (paired opposite Sidharth Malhotra), but both films failed to impress the audience.
The actress is now eagerly waiting for the release of Animal, where she will be seen alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, Pushpa: The Rule, where she will once again star opposite Allu Arjun.
