Rashmika Mandanna recently posted an emotional message on her last day of filming for Pushpa 2: The Rule. Just a day earlier, her co-star Allu Arjun had shared a photo marking his final day on set as well. However, it was Rashmika’s hint at a potential Pushpa 3 that really got fans buzzing. Her comment suggests that the Pushpa franchise may not be ending with the upcoming sequel, leaving fans excited about what’s to come next.
On Tuesday night, Rashmika Mandanna took to Instagram Stories to reflect on her emotional last day of shooting for Pushpa 2: The Rule on Monday. She shared how overwhelming the day had been, recounting her hectic schedule. “On the evening of the 24th, after a full day of shooting, we flew to Chennai for a lovely event, then flew back to Hyderabad that same night. I got home and managed to get just 4-5 hours of sleep before rushing off to my final day of shoot for Pushpa,” she wrote.
Rashmika also opened up about the significance of the moment in her career, revealing that out of her 8 years in the industry, she has spent 5 of those years working on the Pushpa films. “In those 7-8 years, the last 5 have been spent on this set, which has almost become my second home in the industry. And finally, it was my last day,” she said, expressing the emotional weight of the milestone.
Rashmika Mandanna also acknowledged that there’s still plenty of work to be done before Pushpa 2: The Rule releases next week, but she also dropped a subtle hint about Pushpa 3. “There’s still so much work left, and apparently, there’s a part 3,” she shared. “But today, it felt different… it felt overwhelming. It felt like it was coming to an end. I felt a sadness I couldn’t quite understand, and suddenly all the emotions hit me at once. The long days of hard work came rushing back. I was tired, exhausted, but also incredibly grateful.” Her heartfelt words reflected the bittersweet feeling of closing one chapter while looking ahead to what’s next.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. The film is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 pan-India blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music by T-Series, Pushpa 2 is set to hit theatres on December 5. Described as one of the biggest and most eagerly awaited Indian films in recent years, Pushpa 2 has already made a strong impact with impressive advance bookings in US.
