Excitement and anticipation are building around S Shankar’s upcoming directorial venture, “Game Changer”. The film marks the reunion of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani on the big screen after their collaboration in 2019’s “Vinaya Vidheya Rama”. Described as a vigilante action thriller, “Game Changer” follows the journey of an honest IAS officer battling a corrupt political system through fair elections.
Having been in production for the past three years, “Game Changer” commenced filming in October 2021 and wrapped its final schedule in July this year. Initially slated for a December 2024 theatrical release, recent rumors suggested a delay to 2025 due to reshoots by Ram Charan, impacting post-production timelines. However, these reports have been dismissed.
At the ongoing Moscow International Film Week, producer Dil Raju clarified the situation, affirming, “The shoot is complete, and we’re set for a Christmas 2024 release.” Expressing confidence in the film’s potential, he emphasized, “I believe ‘Game Changer’ will redefine Shankar sir and Ram Charan’s cinematic legacies. It delves into political themes and promises to resonate strongly with audiences.”
Kiara Advani, reflecting on her experience, shared, “’Game Changer’ showcases both Ram and me in new roles. Working with Ram has been a delight; he’s a phenomenal actor and a wonderful person.” She expressed her admiration for director Shankar, describing him as a magician on screen. With a blend of commercial appeal and Shankar’s classic storytelling, “Game Changer” is poised to make a significant impact upon its release, featuring captivating visuals and a compelling narrative.
