Actors Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor are preparing to begin the next phase of filming for their eagerly awaited Telugu film, RC 16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The duo is set to travel to New Delhi for their upcoming shooting schedule, where they will explore various parts of the city to capture diverse moments for the film. Following the completion of their Mysore schedule, the team is expected to head to Delhi to shoot at iconic landmarks such as the Parliament and Jama Masjid. Reports suggest that Ram Charan will film significant sequences at these locations.

A source revealed, “These scenes are pivotal to the sports-driven narrative, and the team has already secured the necessary permissions. They are currently awaiting approval from the relevant authorities.” Filming is set to begin at the Parliament on March 4, though the shoot at Jama Masjid may face delays due to the ongoing Ramadan, with plans to shoot there later in March. The shoot in Parliament is expected to proceed as scheduled. Prior to arriving in Delhi, the team will film in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The first schedule of RC 16 began in Mysore last November.

About the Film

RC 16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is one of the most anticipated projects in Telugu cinema. The film was officially announced on Janhvi Kapoor’s 27th birthday in March 2024 by Mythri Movie Makers, who tweeted, “Welcoming the celestial beauty on board for RC 16. Happy Birthday to the mesmerizing Janhvi Kapoor…” The storyline remains under wraps, heightening the anticipation.

This will mark Janhvi Kapoor’s second Telugu film. She made her debut with Devara, starring Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film was released last year, with Jr NTR playing a dual role as Devara and Varadha. The film’s plot centers around a dramatic clash of wills in a coastal setting, exploring shifting power dynamics. Janhvi is expected to appear in the film’s second part as well.

On the other hand, Ram Charan’s last project was Game Changer directed by Shankar, which released during Sankranthi last year. Despite its massive budget, the film did not perform well at the box office and received criticism for its predictable storyline, though Ram’s performance as one of the dual characters, Appanna, was widely appreciated.
