Pushpa 2: The Rule recently thrilled fans with the announcement of 20 minutes of additional footage being added to Allu Arjun’s film starting January 11. However, the makers have now revealed a new date for the re-release of Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded in theaters.

Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded Release Delayed

On Wednesday, the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce a delay in the release of the much-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded. The post explained, “Due to technical delays in processing the content, the reloaded version of Pushpa 2: The Rule will now be released on January 17th, instead of the previously scheduled January 11th. Happy Sankranthi, everyone! The extended version will be worth the wait, packed with more whistle-worthy moments. The wildfire gets even fiercer!”

Pushpa 2: The Rule’s Record-Breaking Box Office Success

Since its release, Pushpa 2: The Rule has been shattering records at the box office. The film made an explosive debut, quickly becoming the highest-grossing film of 2024. It is the first dubbed movie to join the ₹800+ crore club in Hindi and has already crossed the ₹1800 crore mark globally. With its rapid success, the film is now targeting Aamir Khan’s Dangal (₹2000 crore worldwide) in a bid to become the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Remarkably, it achieved this milestone in just 32 days.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The film stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. It also features Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, and Ajay in pivotal roles. The film’s hit tracks, Peelings and Kissik, have become chart-toppers. Additionally, the makers have confirmed that a sequel, Pushpa 3: The Rampage, is in the works.
