Director Sujeeth has finally unveiled the captivating meaning behind the title of his eagerly awaited film, “They Call Him: OG,” featuring Power Star Pawan Kalyan. At a promotional event for Karthikeya Gummakonda’s “Bhaje Vaayu Vegam,” Sujeeth shared insights into the creative journey that led to this project. Although he was initially approached for a remake, Sujeeth was determined to develop an original story. This decision ultimately gave rise to “They Call Him: OG,” a film that represents a major milestone in his career.
Sujeeth clarified that “OG” stands for both “Ojas Gambheera,” the name of Pawan Kalyan’s character, and “Original Gangster,” which aptly describes the film’s thrilling action. “Ojas” represents mastery and skill, while “Gambheera” adds a layer of depth and seriousness to the character.
Filming for “They Call Him: OG” has resumed after a brief hiatus due to Pawan Kalyan’s political duties. The movie features a stellar cast, including Emraan Hashmi as the formidable antagonist and Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, with an engaging soundtrack composed by SS Thaman.
The plot centers on Pawan Kalyan’s character, Ojas Gambheera, who returns to Mumbai to confront the powerful don Omi Bhau, portrayed by Emraan Hashmi. Audiences can expect high-octane action, a gripping storyline, and a high-stakes narrative that promises to keep them on the edge of their seats.
Beyond the exhilarating action, “They Call Him: OG” explores deeper themes of loyalty, betrayal, and redemption, revealing the complexities of human nature. With production now in full swing, fans can look forward to behind-the-scenes content and teasers as the film prepares for its release in Summer 2025.
