Actor Mohan Babu has apologized to the video journalist he allegedly assaulted during a physical altercation outside his Hyderabad home on Tuesday. The actor explained that he was attempting to protect himself from “anti-social elements” and that the media “inadvertently got involved” in the incident.

He described the incident as “unfortunate” and expressed his “deep regret,” stating, “It pains me deeply that what started as a personal family dispute spiraled into a larger situation.” Mohan Babu also clarified that he had been hospitalized for health reasons over the past 48 hours, which prevented him from issuing the apology sooner.

The actor explained that when a group of 30-50 people, including what he described as “anti-social elements,” forcibly entered his home, he lost his composure in the heat of the moment. In the chaos, the journalist was injured. He emphasized that the media had become “inadvertently intertwined” in the incident, resulting in “a deeply regrettable outcome.” Mohan Babu concluded by offering a heartfelt apology to the journalist, his family, and the media company, while also wishing the journalist a swift recovery.
