Just a few days back, the South Indian film fraternity was grieving over the demise of actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Tarak Ratna, who is also Jr NTR’s cousin. While many are still mourning over the demise, another star from the industry has passed away. Malayalam comedian and famous TV host Subi Suresh passed away at the age of 41.

Reportedly, she was suffering from a liver-related ailment. She breathed her last at a private hospital in Kochi on February 22’s morning. Known for her slapstick roles, and spontaneous on-stage dialogue delivery, Suresh had a massive fan following on TV as well as on big screens. She is survived by her parents and brother.

Reacting to the news of her demise, actor Dulquer Salmaan took to his social media handle and tweeted, “Absolutely shocked to hear about Subi Suresh. Soo young and so much left to do. A real loss to the Malayalam film fraternity. Praying for her family and friends to cope through this difficult time.”

She had started her career as a mimicry artist in the Cochin Kalabhavan troupe years ago. Later, she gradually created a niche for herself. She became a household name after her entry into the comedy show, Cinemala. Post that, Subi worked in a handful of Malayalam movies too.
