‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Surges Toward Rs 150 Crore Mark in Domestic Box Office Collections

The highly anticipated sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD is expected to cross the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office by its third day of release. The film features a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas and has also seen numerous cameo appearances. By the end of its second day in theatres, the film had earned an impressive Rs 149.3 crore.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has performed exceptionally well, especially in the Telugu circuit where it earned Rs 91.45 crore. It has also made a significant impact on Hindi-speaking audiences, accumulating Rs 45 crore. In Tamil, the film earned Rs 8 crore, followed by Rs 4.2 crore in Malayalam and Rs 0.65 crore in Kannada.

On June 28, the movie achieved a 65.02% occupancy rate in Telugu theatres. Notably, audiences in the Telugu circuit have preferred the 2D format, with night show occupancy reaching 82.95%, slightly ahead of 3D showings at 78.44%. Across all languages, ‘Kalki 2898 AD added approximately Rs 6.9 crore to its net earnings on its third day.
