Produced on a budget of Rs 40 Crore, *HanuMan* became a massive success, setting a Tollywood Sankranti record by grossing Rs 350 Crore. Following this achievement, Varma announced the highly anticipated sequel, Jai Hanuman.
In an exciting update for fans of the franchise, Rishab Shetty, known for his work in Kantara, has been confirmed as the lead for Jai Hanuman. With Shetty now on board, the production team is ready to move forward. To elevate the film’s scale and budget, the production duties have shifted from Prime Show Entertainment to Mythri Movie Makers. Pre-production activities are currently in full swing as the team prepares for the next phase of the project.
Meanwhile, Rishab Shetty has been busy working on the prequel to his international hit Kantara. Filming for Jai Hanuman is set to commence in 2026, according to the latest updates.
In addition, Prasanth Varma has announced an upcoming film featuring Mokshagna, the son of Nandamuri Balakrishna, marking his debut. Varma is also developing another superhero project titled Mahakali, directed by Puja Kolluru. This film is being produced in collaboration with RKD Studios.
