G2: Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi’s Film Set to Have a Massive Budget

Adivi Sesh is diving back into the world of high-stakes espionage with G2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Goodachari. Six years after the original film made a significant mark in Telugu cinema’s spy thriller genre, G2 is set to reach new heights with a massive budget of ₹100 crores. This ambitious project is not only the most expensive film of Adivi Sesh’s career but also one of the grandest ventures in the Indian spy genre.

Expanding its reach into the Hindi market, G2 features Emraan Hashmi in a key role, adding a new dimension to the franchise. Emraan’s inclusion is expected to broaden the film’s appeal and attract a larger audience, thanks to his renowned performances and authentic portrayals.

Sources indicate that the film’s substantial budget reflects its ambitious goals to push boundaries in both scale and storytelling. G2 aims to build on the success of its predecessor while crafting an internationally resonant experience that retains the emotional essence that made Goodachari a hit. Earlier this month, the team celebrated the six-year milestone of Goodachari by releasing six stylish teasers from G2, which highlighted the film’s global flair, sophisticated aesthetics, and grand vision, setting the stage for a visually stunning experience.

Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, G2 is expected to deliver gripping action sequences, intricate plot twists, and heart-pounding moments designed to captivate audiences. The film’s expansive budget aligns with its pan-Indian release strategy, scheduled for the second half of 2025. It will be available in all major Indian languages, ensuring a wide reach. Produced by National Award-winning producers T G Vishwaprasad and Abhishek Agarwal under People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, along with AK Entertainments, the film also stars Banita Sandhu as the female lead, with additional cast details yet to be announced.
