Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth have officially been granted a divorce by the Chennai Family Welfare Court, formally ending their marriage. The court’s decision comes after both parties expressed their inability to continue the relationship.
As reported by HashtagU, the final ruling was delivered on November 27, 2024, following a hearing where the couple reaffirmed their decision to part ways. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa, who had announced their separation in early 2022 through a public statement, have now reached a legal conclusion to their split after nearly two years.
In their joint statement, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth reflected on their 18-year journey together, saying, “We have shared 18 years of togetherness—first as friends, then as a couple, and as parents, always supporting each other. This journey has been one of growth, understanding, adaptation, and adjustment. Today, we find ourselves at a point where our paths must now separate.”
They further added, “Aishwaryaa (Dhanush) and I have mutually decided to part ways as a couple and take time to focus on ourselves as individuals for our personal growth. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate through this transition.” The couple’s separate posts on the matter were shared online, marking the end of their marital relationship.
