Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Date Announced: Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Kolli’s Action Thriller Set to Premiere On This Date

Nandamuri Balakrishna, recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award from the Government of India, made a grand entry onto the big screen this Sankranthi with his latest mass action film, Daaku Maharaaj. Directed and written by Bobby Kolli, known for his work on Waltair Veerayya, the film has emerged as one of the veteran actor’s biggest hits. Following a string of box-office successes, Daaku Maharaaj grossed around Rs 115 Crore, surpassing its Rs 100 Crore budget. With its successful theatrical run behind it, the movie is now set for its OTT debut.

Daaku Maharaaj Synopsis

Balakrishna stars as Nanaji, a loyal chauffeur working for tea estate owner Krishna Murthy (Sachin Khedekar), who shares a close bond with Murthy’s granddaughter. However, the peaceful life takes a dark turn when MLA Thirumala Naidu (Ravi Kishan) secretly grows cocaine on the estate. When Nanaji confronts him, he is threatened, leading him to step up in defense of his family. Meanwhile, the authorities are after Nanaji. The mystery deepens with the introduction of Balawanth Singh Thakur (Bobby Deol), who seems to have a connection to Nanaji. The unfolding story revolves around Nanaji’s hidden past and his mysterious connection to Thakur.

Daaku Maharaaj on Netflix

The movie’s digital streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix for all languages. Although there was some initial confusion about its release, due to dubbing and other formalities, the streaming platform has officially announced that the film will be available starting February 21.

In the lead role of Nanaji, Nandamuri Balakrishna is joined by Bobby Deol as the villain. The female leads are Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Chandhini Chowdary. Urvashi Rautela also appears in a special role, performing in the controversial track ‘Dabidi Dibidi’. The supporting cast includes Harshavardhan and Ravi Kishan, among others.
