Connect teaser: Nayanthara starrer to be spine-chilling horror

As Lady Superstar Nayanthara celebrates her 38th birthday today, marking the occasion, the makers of her forthcoming horror thriller Connect have unveiled the captivating teaser of the film. The 1-and-a-half-minute video opens with a girl knocking on the door, asking to untie her. It also shows the commotion going on outside to help her as she is trapped in a room with an unidentifiable identity. The gloomy visual and tense atmosphere will send shivers down your spine for sure.

Helmed by filmmaker Ashwin Saravanan, Connect stars Sathyaraj, Anupam Kher, Vinay Rai and Haniya Nafis in crucial roles, along with others. Financed by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s production banner Rowdy Pictures, Connect marks Anupam Kher’s return to Tamil films. Nayanthara has collaborated with director Ashwin Saravanan for the second time after the 2015 horror thriller Maya.

Aside from Connect, Nayanthara will also star in the much-awaited laughter ride Gold alongside Prithviraj Sukumar. The project will be directed by filmmaker Alphonse Puthren, who is returning to direction after 7 years.

Furthermore, she is currently shooting for her Bollywood debut film Jawan. Helmed by filmmaker Atlee, the film will feature Shah Rukh Khan as the protagonist. She is also Iraivan and Lady Superstar 75 in the making at the moment.

Meanwhile, director Vignesh Shivan wished his better half a happy birthday by dropping some unseen romantic photographs of the power couple on Instagram, along with a heartfelt note that read, “This is my 9th birthday with you #Nayan…Every birthday with you has been special, memorable & different! But this one is the most special of them all, as we have started a life together as husband and wife! As a father & mother of two beautifully blessed children! ’ve always known you and seen you as a powerful person! The strength you have to be confident and dedicated to whatever you do!
