Chiranjeevi, a towering figure in Indian cinema for over four decades and a Padma Bhushan awardee, has left an indelible mark with numerous blockbuster films. However, his journey to stardom was not without its struggles.
Earlier this year, the celebrated actor opened up about a pivotal moment from his early career when he faced humiliation on a film set while working as a junior artist. During a recent event, Chiranjeevi recounted an incident where he was berated by prominent actors Jagayya and Sarada. “I was yelled at on set, and they questioned if I thought I was a superstar,” he recalled. “I felt deeply humiliated by their words. That was the day I made a firm decision to become a superstar. I channelled that experience into my ambition and worked tirelessly to reach where I am today.”
Chiranjeevi also took the opportunity to commend Vijay Deverakonda for his resilience, urging him to keep his unique attitude as he progresses in his career.
Reflecting on his journey, Chiranjeevi shared that a chance encounter led to his first film role. Despite initial doubts, he seized the opportunity, gradually advancing through various projects to build his illustrious career.
Currently, Chiranjeevi is set to star in the socio-fantasy drama Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta. This film marks his 156th project and features a stellar cast including Trisha Krishnan, Surbhi, Harsha Vardhan, Vennela Kishore, Praveen, and Isha Chawla. Music for the film is composed by the legendary M.M. Keeravani, with cinematography by Chota K. Naidu. Produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Vikram Reddy under the UV Creations banner, Vishwambhara is slated for a multi-language release on January 10, 2025.
