Pawan Kalyan, one of the biggest superstars in contemporary Tollywood (fondly known as Power Star by fans), celebrates his birthday on Monday, September 2. While Pawan typically refrains from celebrating his birthday, his fans engage in charitable activities across Telugu-speaking states. This year holds special significance as Pawan Kalyan also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, marking his first birthday in this role. He has been assigned portfolios including Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forests, Science, and Technology.
Film-wise, Pawan has three projects in production: “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” directed by Jyothi Krishna, “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” by Harish Shankar, and “OG” by Sujeeth. To delight his fans, the makers plan to release new posters and videos on his birthday. However, due to ongoing floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Pawan Kalyan’s PR team announced there will be no updates on his films.
For “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” sets have been constructed in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh, where shooting is expected to resume soon under director Jyothi Krishna’s guidance. However, Pawan’s political commitments may delay filming for the next few weeks, given the current flood situation in Andhra Pradesh.
In the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections, Pawan Kalyan, as the founding president of the Jana Sena Party, demonstrated his prowess in politics, earning him the title of ‘Power Star’ in the political arena. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced him at a meeting of NDA MPs in Delhi, praising him as not just a force of nature, but a storm. Pawan’s Jana Sena Party made history by sweeping all 23 seats contested (21 MLAs and 2 MPs) in the recent Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
