Earlier, Star Sports had announced that the opening ceremony before the CSK vs MI match at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium would be exclusive to the live audience, as the broadcasting rights for the event hadn’t been cleared. This announcement left many fans disappointed, as they had been eagerly looking forward to watching Anirudh Ravichander’s live performance during the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings kicked off their IPL 2025 campaign with a thrilling four-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians. CSK chased down a target of 156 in 19.1 overs, with Rachin Ravindra remaining unbeaten on 65 and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad contributing 53 to seal the win.
