Allu Aravind Criticize Dil Raju Over the Failure of ‘Game Changer’?

Allu Aravind is preparing for his upcoming production ‘Thandel,’ a romantic drama by Chandoo Mondeti featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. During a pre-release event last Sunday, the seasoned producer took a jab at the recent disappointment of S Shankar’s action-packed film ‘Game Changer,’ which starred Ram Charan and Kiara Advani and was supported by Dil Raju.

In a widely circulated video on social media platform X, Allu Aravind can be heard speaking in Telugu at the event, “Dil Raju recently made headlines. One of his movies was like this (gestures downwards, referring to ‘Game Changer’), while another was like this (gestures upwards, alluding to ‘Sankranthi Vastunam’). He even faced an Income Tax raid. A lot happened in just one week,” he said with a smile. The online community reacted critically to Aravind’s comments about Dil Raju. One user dug up an old clip of Aravind’s son and actor Allu Arjun confessing in Telugu, “I once celebrated when a film failed.” Another commenter remarked on the clip, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” “They’re mocking Dil Raju now? Hahaha,” said another user. A third comment read, “@AlwaysRamCharan, do you see how they’re reveling in your film’s setbacks?”

In defense of Allu Aravind, many supporters spoke out. One user countered, “Why should Allu Arjun and his father be expected to only support ‘mega’ successes? That logic doesn’t make sense.” Last year, Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, became a major domestic hit, receiving widespread acclaim. In contrast, Game Changer, which premiered over a month later, failed to perform well at the box office.

Meanwhile, Allu Aravind’s upcoming production Thandel is scheduled for release in theaters on February 3rd. Allu Arjun was supposed to attend a pre-release event for the film as a special guest last Sunday. However, his absence was explained by Aravind, who stated that the actor was suffering from severe gastritis following his return from an overseas shoot.
